all things go

I just finished an an assignment and the way my chest sort of relaxed...well it felt almost as good as today, when the fire alarm at my work stopped sounding and my heart stopped beating hugely for no reason. I knew there wasn't an emergency and it was just a drill or an accident, but the way it was just slightly overcast and the siren seemed to hit all these notes and vibrate right through me...well...i had to lean against a pillar and try and think of other things.
My assignment worries will be temporarily abated on September 14, so until then I'm going to wallow in being just slightly too taut for my own good.
